Claus Gunti is a Swiss art historian. He teaches at the University of Art and Design Lausanne (écal) and at the University of Lausanne (Unil). His research primarily focusses on the history of digital images in photography, recent developments in imaging technologies and digital culture. His recent publications include “Rendered realities and fabricated visual spaces” (Augmented Photography, écal, 2017), “De la théorie à l’objet. Histoires de la photographie numérique au présent” (Transbordeur, 2018) and “Light epistemologies” (FOAM Magazine, 2018). His upcoming book Digital Image Systems. Photography and New Technologies at the Düsseldorf School (transcript Verlag) comes out in 2019.
